Christmas is a time for warmth, generosity, and coming together and at The Coach House Day Nursery, that spirit is at the heart of everything we do.
As part of Family First Nurseries, our Magic of Giving campaign has returned for another year, bringing families, children, and teams together to support those who need a little extra love this Christmas.

Across our nurseries and Support Office, we’re seeing the true power of community where small acts of kindness come together to create something incredibly special.
Kindness in Action: How Our Nurseries Are Giving Back
Our nurseries have each chosen a meaningful way to spread joy within their community. These moments of giving not only support local families but also teach our children about empathy, generosity, and the joy of helping others.
Here are just some of the heart-warming acts taking place this year:
Just Imagine Nursery, Maldon are collecting new toy donations for the Salvation Army to support children in hospital and those in care. With over 300 gifts already donated, they are making a truly incredible impact.
Play Away Day Nursery, Southampton City work closely with social services to buy Christmas gifts for deprived children, instead of participating in Secret Santa.
Oaktree Day Nursery are running a Giving Tree in partnership with The Cow Shed, helping local families in need. Children are also making festive cards and small gifts for local workers who support the community all year round.

Woodberry Fawley Day Nursery will be welcoming the local fire engine on Tuesday 9th December at 5pm for a community fundraising event.
Drayton House Nursery School are collecting toiletries and Christmas treats for a local women’s shelter, a charity they support every year.
Rushden Day Nursery are gathering food donations throughout December for their local food bank, helping families experiencing hardship.
And there is still more to come! Each nursery is finding its own way to spread joy, kindness and community connection.
Magic of Giving is one of the most meaningful things we do each year. It brings our teams, families, and children together with a shared purpose: to ensure everyone feels supported at Christmas. The generosity shown across our nurseries is extraordinary, and it reflects what Family First stands for: compassion, community and putting families at the heart of everything we do.

How We’re Making Christmas Brighter for Our Families
This year, Family First is proudly supporting 38 families across our nurseries who may otherwise find Christmas difficult.
Each family will receive a lovingly prepared Christmas dinner package filled with everything needed to enjoy a traditional festive meal together.
Alongside this, our support team is collecting toys to ensure that every child in need at our community nurseries wakes up to a gift on Christmas morning.
To help raise the funds needed, Family First are hosting a festive fundraiser featuring their very own Bake Off.
